It is suspected that the tourists who felt sick consumed food while traveling on a tourist boat in the waters of Karaburun and Sazan on the coast of Vlora, in southwestern Albania. Afterwards, they did not feel well and sought medical help.
30 of them are being treated in the hospital, while some of them are expected to be admitted as they are in a more serious condition.
A considerable number of the toourists are of Polish nationality, the authorities say.
Another bus with about 50 tourists seeking treatment has arrived at the hospital, but the Vlora Hospital Directorate announces that it does not have enough capacity, so some of the patients will be sent to the neighboring Fier Hospital. The situation is ongoing.
