A double murder took place on Saturday afternoon in Sevoll, Korça in southeastern Albania, where two women were killed. The event took place in Progër village, around 15:15, when the head of the village found in their house the dead bodies of Bukurie Bami, 60 years old and her 80-year-old mother-in-law, Fatmira Bami.
The women are suspected to have been beaten to death with hard objects by a robber, as the victims were found with signs of violence on the body.
Police report that the perpetrator has been identified as Ali Zili, a neighbor of the victims who is on the run.
Police said that they have set up checkpoints in the area in search of the suspects, while more information is expected from the investigative group, after the forensic examination.
