Doctors advise flu vaccine

In this season are expected new subtypes of the AH1N1 virus, and the
specialists of the Public Health Institute appeal the citizens to take the vaccine against flu.
“Although we say that the AH1N1 virus will circulate again, there are some new sub-versions of this virus, the AH3N2 and the virus B. We consider these as new viruses. The symptoms are the same with that of the normal flu, which is a treacherous illness. It can come in easy forms, but also heavy ones. Besides the flu, there are other viruses for which there is no vaccine. All age groups should be vaccinated for the flu”, says Silva Bino, director of the Infective Diseases at the ISHP.
According to Bino, the new viruses are expected to circulate in March, and the new vaccine includes seven of these subtypes, among them even AH1N1.
Besides elder people, this vaccine should be a priority even for those people who suffer from another illness. Epidemiologists from other districts are invited for taking the necessary recommendations to keep the situation under control.
The Specialists appeal the citizens to address to the family doctors and not neglect the advices that in our country are given in an abusive way by the pharmacists.
