Linda Rama: Between Family, Work and Albania’s Future For some of the state authorities, PM Berisha, the Parliament Speaker,
Jozefina Topalli and the Mayor of Tirana, Lulzim Basha, this was the
day when are celebrated the Independence of Albania and the Liberation
Day from World War Two invaders.
The memorial monument “Mother Albania”, at the Martyr’s Cemetery serves as the honoring place for the men and women that were sacrificed for Albania’s independence and freedom. Berisha declared that the Independence is a major act that enabled the Albanians to enjoy the freedom they have today.
“We honor all those men and women that grew with their blood the freedom that we enjoy today. Albania’s Independence is the greatest act that enabled Albanians to be free. The independence was a result of inhuman wars for freedom and dignity”, Berisha declard, also reminding those who gave their life for Kosovo’s independence.
“The nation honors Adem Jashari and all those who laid Independent Kosovo’s foundations with their hearts and soul”, Berisha declared.
Berisha reminded that in the months to come, Albania will bring in everyone’s memory the major acts of the Albanians, since the Prizren League to today.
Berisha gave these declarations after the homage that he paid at the Martyr’s Cemetery by placing wreaths in the “Mother Albania” memorial monument.
