Dismantling unit, 9 months without per diem payments

28/12/2011 00:00

The Ammunition Dismantling Unit at the Ministry of Defense has not
received per diem payment for the work conducted in far away areas.

The employees have been obliged to spend their own money to travel and to secure accommodation, leaving their families with less revenues.

Now that the Christmas is over, the agents of this unit plead for at least taking the money they’re entitled to for the diets, so that they can secure to their families a proper New Year celebration.

Each of them is entitled to 500.000 to 700.000 ALL. Despite the financial problems, their results for this year were twice higher than one year ago.

The dismantling process will end in July 2011, 6 months before the deadline.
