Linda Rama: Between Family, Work and Albania’s Future Several disabled people, part of the Red and Black Alliance, protested
in front of the Ministry of Labour and Equal Chances regarding their
payment that has been delayed for three months.
They say that although the government has given bonus payment to itself and the administration, these people were left without food, not being able to celebrate as the rest of the society.
“Are the disabled people less Albanian than the rest of the population? How can they leave us without food, depriving us from this right and putting the disabled in a hunger crisis? The government paid only itself and the administration by leaving disabled people unable to survive”, declared Ervis Muha from the Disabled People Department at the RBA.
More communes and municipalities who have no other means of survival have not been received payment they’re entitled to by law. Local leaders say that there is no budget to pay them. The situation is more problematic in Elbasan, Librazhd, Gramsh, Fier, Lezha and Pogradec.
