Disabled people: Government violating our rights

Only a few minutes before the EU Enlargement Commissioner, Stefan Fule,
started his speech at the Parliamentary session, disabled people
protested in front of the Parliament by complaining about the human
rights violations of the Albanian Government.
“The 11th recommendation of the European Council has not been taken in consideration by the Albanian politics. This recommendation asks the government to progress, when the category of disabled people is excluded and doesn’t have equal opportunities for employment, transportation and information”, declared the President of the Council of Disabled People, Sinan Tafaj.
A few weeks ago, with the law amends for the law about disabled and blind people, this category had the phone, transportation and electricity compensation reduced. Considering this as a human rights violation, the disabled people expressed their concerns to the international institutions.
