Diplomats meet Rama and Berisha

The European Union diplomatic representatives in Tirana saw this Friday
the same Albanian reality presented in two different way, after they met
the Prime Minister, Edi Rama, and opposition leader, Lulzim Basha.

According to the panorama presented by the Prime Minister, the main diplomats were presented with the government’s commitment to increase the fight against corruption, organized crime and to create a stable economic development. Mr.Rama told the diplomats that by knowing these as main challenges of the majority, and as their major priorities, the government is determined to rule through example. Which means that the government will start paying the obligations that they have inherited from the previous government to the business companies, and then they will ask them to be more involved.

Both Rama and Basha asked the member countries to support the candidate status in December, but in the meeting with the Democratic Party leader, the European Union diplomats were also presented with a somber panorama of the Albanian democracy.

Basha declared that the government had been buying votes in the Korce elections, and informed the European Union representatives that the opposition will follow every political and legal means to defend democracy based on the free votes, which, according to Basah, cannot be bought with the dirty money of crime and political mafia. Basha considered Rama’s government as a government of illegality, which has opened a dangerous chapter for order and security by performing illegal appointments in the police.
