Diplomats helping orphans

Diplomats and employees of embassies and international institutions
accredited to Tirana have used this Saturday’s sun for jogging. This was
not routine jogging, but a charity activity with the motto “let’s run
with children”.

“We are here to run, with the purpose to help the Albanian orphanages. I work for the Dutch Embassy and we’re one of the sponsors of this activity”, declared Anette Kuijisten.

David Stallings from the US Embassy declares:

“We aim to collect money for the orphanage through this activity. I believe that our help will change their lives a little bit. For me it is the first time that I participate in this activity”.

Charles Linderman, who has created and runs the “House of Hope” since 2003, a residential center for abandoned children in Shen Avalsh, Durres, is the organizer of this activity.

“We should show more interest for the Albanian children and orphanages”, Linderman declared.

This is a well known money raising method for charity in the western world. Many local businesses support this activity and their donations were used for the orphanages in many cities.
