The Minister of Diaspora, Pandeli Majko, travelled this Sunday to the USA, together with his Kosovo counterpart, Dardan Gashi, meeting with teachers and directors of Albanian language schools.
The meeting was held at the Kosovo Consulate, in New York. One of the main concerns of teachers and directors was procuring books in the Albanian language. Both ministers expressed their readiness to help.
Teachers offered their support for drafting a school text for teaching Albanian, and for better adapting it to the children of the Diaspora.
Minister Majko met with businessman Richard Lukaj at the Stamford Youth Center, founded by him.
Lukaj, who s also General Consul in Connecticut and New York, has given major contribution in national causes, such as the matters of Kosovo.
Minister Majko thanked him and appreciated the work that he has done in service of the Albanian people.
