The Albanian Minister for the Diaspora, Pandeli Majko, and the Minister of Education, Lindita Nikolla, met with representatives of the “Skanderbeg Parma” Albanian language school, where they mentioned the efforts that are being done for including Albanian teachers in the state system.
“Many EU countries allow weekends for foreign communities and teachers are paid by the state system. We will try hard and it will be a great victory if Albanian teachers will be included in the state system, being paid by the state for their weekend work”, Minister Majko declared.
Majko spoke about the cooperation between Albania and Kosovo governments, adding that the Ministers of Education in Albania and Kosovo have agreed for the curricula and are already working for drafting the standardized books.
“We are working so that the Albanian language can be included in the school program, in areas where there is a large number of Albanian residents. Together with Minister Majko we are working to make possible that Italian schools offer weekend teaching for the Albanian language”, Nikolla declared.
Earlier the day both Ministers met with Albanian businessmen in Italy, while Majko underlined the need for creating a network of businesses and proper conditions for an effective cooperation.
