The Austrian-Norwegian consortium that has taken under concession the
Devoll cascade, presented to Prime Minister Berisha the projects for the
three hydropower plants that will be built in this cascade.
The leaders of the Stadkraft and EVN companies declared that the three hydropower plants will produce energy for 140.000 families with a capacity of 800 GW.
The Prime Minister considered the project as the biggest investment for a hydropower plant in the entire European continent. The construction of the hydropower plants at the Devoll cascade is expected to start in the first half of the next year, and will last six months.
