Desir in Tirana, discussing safety and work conditions for journalists

Desir met with the Albanian Foreign Minister, Ditmir Bushati, with whom he shared the opinion that there is no democratic society without media freedom.

Desir greeted the progress made by Albania in this area, while Minister Bushati said that our country is committed to improve and reinforce the legal framework needed to preserve the professional values of journalism and keep this democratic standard in the country, in order to bring it closer to the European integration processes.

The fifth conference of Southeastern European countries will be held this May in Ohrid, Macedona, to discuss free media, virtual media, professional commitment, legal improvements, etc.

Minister Bushati greeted the conference and confirmed Albania’s contribution.
