Dervishi’s murder, investigations for brothers’ feuds

The Police came to the conclusion that the murder was premeditated and the murderer was waiting the 47-year-old victim to execute him. The high number of shells shows that the murderer was making sure that Dervishi would die on the spot.

Based on the circumstances, specialists of the Serious Crimes faced with difficulties because the victim did not result of having any conflict with the murderer and his criminal history was clean.

This made the investigators turning their eyes on his relatives. One of Dervishi’s brothers has been killed in 1997, while the other brother was an immigrant in France. The police are convinced that the murder was based on retaliation and followed that lead.

No arrest for masked attacks

The investigations in Puke and Lezha have not found any suspect yet. On both cases police has found shells used by the masked robbers, but they have been unable to identify the authors of the crime.

Although both robberies have damaged the life of the citizens who were traveling for their holidays, the police has not set any reward in money for information about the robbers, which would be an additional information for the experts.

Police had planned to focus in the war against crime during the tourist season, but their work has resulted slow.

A group of Albanians from Ulqin who were attacked accused the police of not responding on time. On the second case another family traveling to Velipoja was attacked, and five people were injured.
