The Dervish Ali towers in Vlora have been left at the mercy of fate, after the Regional Directory of National Culture (RDNC) in this district declared they have no funds for the restoration.

“The project costs 5.1 million ALL. We have made a request to the Ministry”, said Orges Feimaj, Director of the RDNC.

He appeals donators to help restore these towers, which are a cultural heritage.

As for the lack of guides, a problem raised by tourists themselves, the Director said that this job has been done so far by caretakers. He adds that the biggest problem in their district is theft of culture monument, such as the case of the Amantia Park.

Amantia is also another problem, where irresponsible people open ancient tombs, believing that they will find treasures.
