Deputy PM Mesi in Hungary for summit between China and CEE

The Deputy Prime Minister of Albania, Senida Mesi, attended the sixth summit between China and 16 countries of Central and Eastern Europe, which is being held in Hungary.

The summit, known as INITIATIVE 16+1, aims to deepen the cooperation between the attending countries, 11 of which are EU members.

The cooperation orientation of this initiative is on the same line with the current priorities of Albania. In many of them, our country can offer and realize concrete cooperation and benefits in energy, infrastructure, transportation, mining and mineral processing industry, agriculture, economic areas, education, culture, etc.

In her speech, Mesi underlined the importance of this initiative as a good cooperation instrument between countries, and the fact that Albania sees it as an important platform for cooperation and interaction.

Mesi also expressed Albania’s readiness to continue its commitment to concrete national and international projects in infrastructure, railway, energy, tourism and agriculture, which will improve the effectiveness of this partnership.
