The Deputy Prime Minister appointed by the Democratic Party, Ledina
Mandija, chairwoman of the Task Force for the Elections 2017, met today
with high representatives from the Council of Europe and the European
Union in Albania.
Mandija met with Claus Neukirch, representative of the Council of Europe in Albania. A similar meeting was also held yesterday with Jan Rudolph, vide director of the EU delegation, and Robert Adams, expert for elections.
“Representatives of the Council of Europe and of the European Union Delegation in Albania, who have followed closely every meeting of the Task-Force, showed interest for the monitoring results and problems verified during the electoral process. Deputy Prime Minister Mandija updated them with the work that was done, and explained that they are working with objectivity to identify all violations, referring to the information and reports made by the Ministries and institutions. Some Ministers have failed to submit this monitoring report”, the declaration says.
Deputy PM Mandija guaranteed the CoE and EU officials that the information that has been collected will be delivered without delays. This information, processed by the Task Force and discussed in all of its meetings, will be finalized with a detailed report.
