Dentists: Mentality is changing

In the last two years, the dental esthetics has not been considered a luxury
for Albanians. Different to the recent years, when the visits to the
dentist were very rare, it seems that the new tendencies of this area
are being preferred not only from young people, but also from old ages.
The Dentist Monika Spirollari says for Top News that although a beatiful smile costs, the number of persons who spend for it is increasing each year.
Professor Kurkud Demirel, President of the Dentist Association of Turkey says that the total expenses for dental esthetics reach 25.000 EUR per person.
Although specialists of the Public Health make several promotions for making children aware, the latter are the most endangered from the dental hygiene, due to the packed foods they consume, such as sweets, chips and drinks.
Dentists say that this type of food is dangerous for the enamel and cause premature decay.
