Democrats take biggest city of northern Albania

The vote counting process has finished after midnight for the Shkoder
municipality, reconfirming the current Mayor, Democratic Party’s Lorenc
Luka.

Luka was elected with 20798 votes against the 11227 votes of the Socialiste candidate, Genc Uruçi.

Lorenc Luka was chosen for the first time Mayor of Shkoder in 2007.
