
They returned silently to the special parliamentarian commission for the Justice Reform, but Democratic Party members threatened to leave again if their proposal is not heard.
Eduard Halimi, former Justice Minister, said opposition platform will be ready in a few days and urged majority deputies to hear it and not unilaterally approve their own, thus breaking the internationally brokered December agreement.
While the latest threat sounds like e precondition for the commission to finish its job, Halimi avoided responding when asked what guarantees they received this time. Instead he insisted that the reform should be independent and uncorrupted, while assuring the expulsion from parliament or public administration offices of persons with criminal records.
