The cutting of forests in Albania has not stopped, despite the moratoriums or the so-called protected areas.
The wood cutting continues massively in the Rrjace-Skenderbem village at the National Park of Shebenik. Most of the woods were transported while the rest are left to dry up for later transportation.
Top Channel was informed for this massacre by the local residents who didn’t find any solution to the state institutions.
Ardi Bodurri from the Directory of Protected Areas says they are aware and have made constant controls, and they have even found two suspects. But he adds that when they go there, roads are blocked by other local residents.
