Defence: No affairs with the assets

“The Defense Ministry is obliged to respect the law for the property compensation. The Ministry of Finances has reported that 25 properties have been sold so far, 6% of which are taken by the former owners. The properties that were left outside the FA passed to the local administration and the other institutions of the local administration, based on the respective policies”, declared the Minister of Defense Official, Edvin Kulluri.

The Socialist MP, Taulant Balla, reported yesterday from the Dajti Mountain the sale of thousands of square meters of land by the Minister of Defence, Arben Imami.

Balla declared that there are 85.000 square meters in total at the Dajti area for sale:
Ofiçina Qesarak – Tiranë, 15 .000 square meters
Batalioni i Ndërlidhjes – Qesarakë, 32 930 square meters
Ish-Batalioni i Këmbësorisë – Shupal, 1365 square meters
Reparti 8890 – Rrapi i Treshit 34 126 square meters
Ish-Shtabi i Repartit 1511 – Qesarakë, 13 387 square meters

Balla says that these properties are being sold without taking in consideration the need of the community and without consulting the local administration first.

“I refer to this documentation prepared by the Dajti commune that is addressed to Sali Berisha, who is asked to not sell the Dajt Properties, but to build a school for the nearby community. This request has not been taken in consideration”, Balla declared.

This rushed way of dealing with this issue and without consulting anyone leaves room for suspicions of corruptive affairs, declared Taulant Balla.

“In their minds they have only the interests of Berisha’s and Imami’s circle”, the Socialist MP concluded.
