Deda brothers’ suit rejected

The Court of Tirana rejected the suit of the three brothers of Hekuran
Deda, who was killed on 21 January 2011 in front of the Prime Minister’s
office for suspending the suit of National Guard soldier Skeja.
Skeja sued the Deda brothers for slander, after they reported him to the Prosecution for failing to report a crime and for concealing the truth.
The lawyers of the Deda brothers asked the court to not give an answer for the slander suit against them before the Prosecution finishes the investigation.
But the Court rejected their request, allowing the National Guard soldier continuing with the judicial process against the Deda brothers for slander.
The Deda brotherhs accuse the National Guard soldiers of having promised them an image and the name of the person that killed their brother on January 21st, and compensation in cash if they would host the Prime Minister at their home for condolences about their brother.
