Decriminalization, Meta: “Both initiatives have wide compatibility”

Meta promised to seek international assistance for the points where no
consensus was reached. He mentioned the example of last year, when
Eduard Kukan and Knut Fleckenstein from the European Parliament
intermediated for an agreement between the Albanian political parties.

“The
decriminalization process requires consensus and amends in the
electoral and criminal codes. The efforts to make this initiative appear
as very simple are just an ugly game for the public’s eye and not
serios. More good will should be shown, and no pretexts are needed which
might hamper the conclusion of a process that shouldn’t even be part of
our discussions”, Meta declared.
