The Socialist Party has continued to report the government’s project for
the Albpetrol privatization, considering it as a non-transparent and
doubtful process. Eduard Shalsi even accused the Ministry of Economy for
concealing information.
“We have a sector plunged in the dark. We cannot take decisions when we don’t have the minimum of information”, Shalsi declared.
Mr. Shalsi declared in the Production Activities Commission that the arguments given by the government about the Albpetrol privatization are suspicious.
“Your arguments suggest that we must stop this privatization, for the own good of our people”, Shalsi declared.
Jemin Gjana, a Democratic Party MP, declared that the privatization formula is a closed matter, and that all they are doing now is amending the law.
He added that if the opposition is concerned for the process, they have all the mechanisms for bringing the amends when the law will be voted.
By the end of the discussion, the Productive Activities Commission approved in principle the Albpetrol privatization only with the majority’s vote, while the law is expected to pass during the week.
