The recent flood damage balance made by the Civilian Emergency Committee shows that floods have affected 3300 houses, 40 businesses, 10,200 hectares of land and 5800 other hectares have a lower presence of water.
Fier and Vlora are the most affected districts, with 56 damaged schools, while 28 bridges throughout the country are out of order.
Authorities have engaged 6400 army troops and 1089 vehicles. These troops have evacuated 596 families and saved 1552 persons.
The Ministry of Defense is also discussing international aid distribution, which so far has been managed by local municipalities.
The situation has been stabilized at the airport and on national roads, and hydropower plants are not discharging water.
