Arta Dade, vice chairwoman of the Parliamentary Foreign Commission, expressed the opposition’s concern about the process that replaces Albanian ambassadors in several countries. Dade declared that we are facing a law violation.
“The majority is too late in making the replacement of the respective ambassadors, and there is a flagrant law violation, because the current ambassadors have crossed any limit that the law provides. By challenging every institution, the Prime Minister can appoint anyone, and the message that he has given is that only those who serve to him will keep their jobs, even if they violate the laws. We are facing an absurd situation, when the ambassadors are appointed on their political convictions and other criteria, and only 10% of them come from diplomacy”, Dade declared.
“Six months before the elections that will change the majorities in Albania, they are rushing to change those few ambassadors that come from diplomacy, such as the new Ambassador that will be appointed in Rome, although we have there are powerful personality from culture. But I will not analyse what those individuals represent as ambassadors, but I want analyse why the state is breaking laws in a time when this was the reason why we lost the EU candidate status, because the laws are violated everywhere. We have a public administration where diplomacy has also been hit by the politicized administration”, Dade declared.
