The cases of violence against women, and also the murders, the injuries
and even maiming of people, have become a serious concern for the
authorities.

The Civil Forum raises the concern for the activity of the state structures, but also for the degradation of the society itself. According to them, the judges and prosecutors liberate the defendants from their charges for corruptive reasons.

The former Albanian President, Alfred Moisiu, underlines that the state’s attention must concentrate on increasing the care and the responsibility for the Albanians’ life.

“Crime is not afraid from the law and the state. It’s not afraid of anything. The situation is very alarming and the crime is endangering especially the Albanian women. They are not spared by small thieves and even by various feminists, who have raped and killed them”, Moisiu declared.

The former Albanian President, Rexhep Mejdani, asked the politics to stop this phenomenon that is endangering the citizens’ life.

“Politics must become a vital part of the debate on this matter, outside the party flags, because this issue is becoming each day more serious”, Mejdani declared.

The OSCE Ambassador in Tirana, Eugen Wollfarth, declared that the high rate of organized crime has damaged the good reputation of Albania and that the reforms in the security sector have had a slow pace.
