Albanian health authorities said today that 2745 tests were performed for Covid-19, of which 787 citizens tested positive.
267 cases were detected in Tirana, 43 in Berat, 41 in Durrës, 40 cases in Shkodra, 38 cases in Vlora and Saranda, 27 cases in Lushnje, 25 cases in Elbasan, 24 cases in Fier, 23 cases in Korça, 19 cases in Lezha, 18 cases in Kruja, 15 cases in Kavaja, Mallakastër, Pogradec, 13 cases in Kurbin, 11 cases in Devoll and Librazhd, 10 cases in Gjirokastra and Tepelena, 9 cases in Tropoja, Malësi e Madhe and Gramsh, 8 cases in Has, Përmet, Dibër, 7 cases in Mat, 6 cases in Mirditë, 5 cases in Delvinë, 3 cases in Kukës, Peqin, 2 cases in Puka, Kamëz, Kuçovë, 1 case in Kolonjë, Skrapar and Shijak.
In the last 24 hours, 517 citizens have recovered, while in 4 COVID hospitals 393 patients are being treated, 26 of whom are in intensive therapy.
Despite the efforts of doctors, in the last 24 hours 15 citizens have lost the battle with the disease in COVID hospitals: 8 citizens from Tirana, 2 citizens from Tepelena, 2 citizens from Berat, 1 citizen from Vlora, 1 citizen from Elbasan, 1 citizen from Korça , aged 57-77 years.
The Ministry of Health and Social Protection expresses its condolences to the families of the deceased and calls on the citizens not to neglect the symptoms of the disease and to contact the family doctor, to be referred for testing.
