COVID19 update/ Decrease in number of infections, 6 losses of life in the last 24 hours

Confirmed positive cases were identified in the following municipalities: 98 cases in Tirana, 29 cases in Lushnje, 27 cases in Durrës, 24 cases in Shkodra, 21 cases in Vlora and Fier, 15 cases in Saranda, 13 cases in Kavaja, 11 cases in Berat, 10 cases in Gramsh, 8 cases in Korça, 7 cases in Mat, 6 cases in Mirditë, Delvinë, Dibër, Bulqizë, Vora, 5 cases in Kavaja, Mallakastër, Kamëz, Vau i Dejës, Malësi e Madhe, Kuçovë, 3 cases in Kurbin, Divjakë, Belsh, Prrenjas, 2 cases in Devoll, Kukës, Lezhë, Librazhd, Gjirokastër, Cërrik, 1 case in Elbasan, Has, Rrogozhinë, Tropojë, Tepelena, Rroskovec, Këlcyrë, Libohovë.

In the last 24 hours, 333 citizens have recovered, while in 4 COVID hospitals 263 patients are being treated, 27 of which in intensive therapy.

Unfortunately, despite the efforts of doctors, 6 citizens did not win the battle with COVID19: 4 citizens from Tirana, 1 citizen from Lushnja, 1 citizen from Pogradec, all aged 56-82 years.

The Ministry of Health and Social Protection expresses condolences to the families of the deceased.

The Ministry appeals to citizens to respect the rules to prevent the spread of COVID-19, avoiding gatherings and maintaining physical distance, placing protective masks in any premises and taking care of personal hygiene.
