The Albanian Ministry of Health said today that the vaccination process has continued in the three vaccination centers, in Tirana, Shkodra, Vlora, with a total of 736 anti-Covid innoculations. The authorities added that in the last 24 hours 3935 tests were performed which resulted in 1112 citizens positive with the disease.
Confirmed positive cases were identified in Tirana, 392 cases, 107 cases in Kavaja, 86 cases in Durrës, 54 cases in Vlora, 50 cases in Elbasan, 43 cases in Saranda, 40 cases in Fier, 39 cases in Berat, and smaller numbers of ifections in other districts.
In the last 24 hours, 991 citizens have recovered, while 594 patients are being treated in COVID hospitals, 36 of which in intensive therapy.
Despite the efforts of the medical staff, 17 citizens lost the battle with COVID19: 4 citizens from Tirana, 3 citizens from Durrës, 2 citizens from Elbasan, 2 citizens from Kavaja, 1 citizen from Kuçova, 1 citizen from Vlora, 1 citizen from Kruja , 1 citizen from Cërriku, 1 citizen from Peqini, 1 citizen from Korça, all aged 43 to 79 years.
The Ministry of Health and Social Protection expresses its condolences to the families of the deceased, and appeals the citizens not to neglect any signs of the disease and to contact the family doctor for any doubt.
