During the last 24 hours in Albania 864 tests were performed to assess infections by SARS COV2 virus, and 152 people were confirmed positive with COVID-19.
The Health Ministry added that the geographical distribution of positive daily cases is as follows: 73 cases in Tirana, 19 in Korca, 9 cases in Berat, 8 cases in Durres, 7 cases in Kukes, 6 cases in Lezha, 5 cases in Shkodra, 3 cases in Elbasan, Kavaja, 2 cases in Kruja, Vlora, Kamza, Mat, Gjirokastra, Klos, and 1 case each in Fier, Lushnje, Rogozhina, Vau I Dejes, Gramsh, Kuçova, Maliq.
Despite the efforts of doctors, unfortunately in the two COVID hospitals in Tirana, 2 patients, a 61-year-old man from Korça and an 83-year-old man from Mirdita with concomitant diseases, lost the battle with the disease, the authorities said, expressing condolences to the patients families.
