An 18-year-old from Elbasan, lost his life in Covid Hospital 2 from the coronavirus. The jungster had been hospitalized at the Sanatorium Hospital from at least a week and had been in intubation for days. His condition had worsened, while today he has passed away.
Preliminary information indicates that the 18-year-old had no concomitant illness. The father of the 18-year-old is also admitted with Covid-19 in the “Shefqet Ndroqi” hospital. While his mother has recovered.
Meanwhile, another serious case was recorded today at the “Shefqet Ndroqi” hospital, where a 32-year-old woman from the city of Elbasan died as a result of the coronavirus. It is learned that the young woman was pregnant and due to the aggravated condition, the doctors were forced to take the baby out by cesarean section, in the seventh month of the pregnancy. The woman could not survive, but the child enjoys full health. She had been hospitalized for several days and had no other concomitant illnesses.
According to experts, in Albania there are strong suspicions that two other mutations of the covid-19 virus have entered, the British one South African one. The authorities have sent some samples to Britain, for analysis in order to come out with official confirmation regarding the new variants in our country.
According to experts, this explains the high infections, as well as the increase of fatalities in Albania.
