Is now 539 the number of people affected by the novel coronavirus in Albania as 21 new cases were confirmed in the last 24 hours.
6 patients are added to the list of recovered in the last 24 hours bringing to 283 the total number.
Albana Fico from the Institute of Public Health informed about the situation:
“We would like to inform you that the field work has continued for the identification of new cases and the tracking of positive cases contacts.
“In the last 24 hours, 253 people suspected of COVID-19 have been tested. From the test results 21 positive cases with COVID19 were confirmed. Of the new cases, 11 were in Shkodra, 4 in Tirana, 4 cases in Kruja and Kurbin is added to the map with 2 cases.
“To date, 26 citizens have lost the battle with this disease, despite the efforts of medical staff. There are currently 35 hospitalized patients in the infectious disease service, 7 of whom are in intensive care”, stated Fico.
