The Ministry of Health and Social Protection appealed today (04.01.2021) to citizens to limit contacts in order to limit the spread of COVID-19 while regarding the situation of the pandemic in the last 24 hours, said that 1,281 tests were performed in which 185 citizens resulted positive.
Confirmed positive cases have been identified in the following municipalities: 31 cases in Tirana, 19 cases in Shkodra, Vlora, 12 in Saranda, 9 cases in Kurbin, Lezha, 8 cases in Durres, Kavaja, Cerrik, 6 in Kamza, 4 cases in Kukes, Lushnje, Dibra, 3 cases in Fier , Berat, Vora, Patos, 2 cases in Kruja, Mirdita, Rrogozhina, Librazhd, Mat, Gjirokastra, Delvina, Tepelena, Vau i Dejes, 1 case each in Korca, Elbasan, Has, Puka, Mallakastra, Përmet, Ura Vajgurore, Fushë Arrëz, Belsh, Malësi e Madhe, Kolonjë, Klos, Skrapar, Konispol.
In the last 24 hours, 348 citizens have been cured, while currently in 4 COVID hospitals, 274 patients are being treated, 28 of whom are in intensive therapy. Unfortunately, despite the efforts of doctors, 6 citizens lost the battle with COVID19: 1 man from Tirana, 1 man from Peqini, 1 woman from Lezha, 1 man from Fieri, 1 man from Kruja and one man from Përmeti, all ages 59 to 76 years old.
The Ministry of Health and Social Protection expresses its condolences to the families of the deceased.
