Ministry of Health today continued the appeal to the citizens for the implementation of the rules of prevention of COVID-19, announcing a relative decrease in the number of infections.
Authorities said that out of 2698 tests, 775 citizens tested positive. Confirmed positive cases were identified in Tirana, 298 cases, 74 cases in Lushnje, 64 in Vlora, 58 in Kavaja, 32 in Shkodra, 30 in Korca, and in smaller numbers in other districts.
In the last 24 hours, 972 citizens have recovered, while in 4 COVID hospitals, 547 patients are being treated, 23 of whom in intensive therapy.
Despite the efforts of the medical staff, 12 citizens lost the battle with COVID-19 in COVID hospitals; 6 citizens from Tirana, 1 citizen from Shkodra, 1 citizen from Elbasan, 1 citizen from Lushnja, 1 citizen from Mati, 1 citizen from Vlora, 1 citizen from Fier, all aged 50-76.
The Ministry of Health and Social Protection expresses its condolences to the families of the deceased.
