Covid-19 update/ Over 200 infected and 5 losses of life in the last 24 hours

Meanwhile, 87 citizens have recovered, bringing to 9762 the number of people cured in the country since the beginning of the epidemic.

Positive cases confirmed in the last 24 hours have been identified in these municipalities:
68 cases in Tirana, 17 cases each in Fier and Korça, 15 in Elbasan, 14 in Berat, 12 in Lezha, 10 in Durrës, 9 in Lushnje, 6 in Pogradec, 5 cases each in Vlora, Saranda, 3 cases each in Gramsh , Kuçovë, 2 cases each in Shkodër, Kurbin, Mirditë, Tepelena, Roskovec, 1 case each in Kruja, Kavaja, Librazhd, Mat, Fushë-Arrëz, Selenica, Bulqiza, Shijak, Vora.

Currently in the Infectious Diseases Hospital and “Shefqet Ndroqi” 239 patients are being treated, 15 in intensive therapy of which 6 patients are intubated.

In the last 24 hours, despite the efforts of doctors, unfortunately they lost the battle with COVID19, a 59-year-old woman from Elbasan, a 79-year-old woman from Vlora, an 87-year-old woman from Tirana and two citizens from Durrës: 66 and 85 years old.

The Ministry of Health and Social Protection reminds that from October 15, textile masks or protective barriers become mandatory in open spaces outside the home, in order to minimize the spread of infection.
