CoVid-19 update/ Number of infections increases, 12 new cases identified

Authorities say that for more than 3 weeks we have no loss of life and 79% of the people affected are already recovered.

Dr. Eugena Tomini from the Institute of Public Health provided the details:

“The epidemic curve has shown consistency over the past two weeks, but with daily fluctuations in relation to the cases reported and identified by the epidemiological service.

“For more than 3 weeks we have no loss of life and this is an indicator of the sustainability of this epidemic outbreak.

“During the last 24 hours, 174 citizens were tested as suspects affected by Covid19 and 12 cases were confirmed positive.
“The geographical distribution of new cases is as follows: 7 cases in Tirana, 2 in Fier, 2 in Kruja and 1 in Durrës. 6 citizens are cured.”
