The Ministry of Health announced today (18.09.2020) that 125 new cases and 5 losses of life were reciorded in the last 24 hours by Covid-19.
They said that in the last 24 hours, despite the efforts of doctors, a 74-year-old woman from Korça, a 78-year-old man from Kukës, an 89-year-old woman from Vlora and 2 citizens from Tirana lost the battle with COVID19: a man 50 year old and an 86 year old man.
The Ministry of Health and Social Protection expressed its condolences to the families.
They added that 833 tests have been performed in the last 24 hours and 125 cases have been confirmed.
The identified daily cases were distributed in the municipalities as follows: 46 cases in Tirana, 12 cases in Durrës, 7 in Elbasan, Mirdita, 6 in Kruja, Kavaja, Bulqiza, Kuçova, 5 caseseach in Vora and Gjirokastra, 4 cases in Gramsh, 2 cases each in Shkodra, Berat, Kamza, Mat, and 1 case each in Kurbin, Kukes, Has, Tropoja, Pogradec, Saranda, Selenica.
43 citizens have recovered in the last 24 hours, bringing it to 6831 since the beginning of the epidemic.
The Ministry of Health and Social Protection calls on the citizens to respect the preventive measures, such as keeping masks indoors and where the distance cannot be maintained.
“We remind you once again that any positively identified case should be in self-isolation and that breaking the rules by anyone will be considered a risk to the life and health of others”.
