The Ministry of Health and Social Protection announced today (08.10.2020) that 971 tests have been performed in the last 24 hours, of which 169 citizens were identified positive with the SARS-COV2 virus.
100 citizens have been cured, bringing to 9215 the number of recovered in the country since the beginning of the epidemic.
Positive cases confirmed in the last 24 hours have been identified in the following municipalities: 55 in Tirana, 22 affected in Korça, 14 cases in Elbasan, 9 cases in Shkodra and Durrës, 8 cases in Fier, 7 cases in Lushnje, 6 cases each in Lezha, Vlora, Mirëditë, Tropojë, 2 cases each in Kavaja, Berat, Mallakastër, Klos, 1 case each in Krujë, Kurbin, Kukës, Has, Mat, Gjirokastër, Divjakë, Malësi e Madhe, Përenjas, Peqin, Gramsh, Kuçovë , Skrapar.
Currently, 228 patients are being treated at the Infectious Diseases Hospital and “Shefqet Ndroqi” hospital, 17 of whom are in intensive care.
In the last 24 hours, despite the efforts of doctors, unfortunately lost the battle with COVID-19, a 62-year-old man, a 66-year-old woman from Lezha, a 67-year-old woman and an 80-year-old man from Tirana.
