The Ministry of Health and Social Protection appealed today (16.01.2021) to citizens to respect the rules to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
Regarding the pandemic situation, the authorities said that 3029 tests were performed, out of which 581 citizens tested positive.
In the last 24 hours, 465 citizens have recovered from the disease, while currently 276 patients are being treated in the 4 COVID hospitals, 32 of which are in intensive care.
Unfortunately, despite the efforts of doctors, 5 citizens did not win the battle with COVID19, 2 citizens from Tirana, 1 citizen from Mirdita, 1 citizen from Korça, 1 citizen from Shkodra, all aged 54-80 years.
The Ministry of Health and Social Protection expresses its condolences to the families of the deceased.
The Ministry of Health and Social Protection appeals to citizens not to neglect any signs of illness and to contact the family doctor about any doubt, in order to perform testing, follow-up and treatment at home.
