Albanian health authorities announced today that in the last 24 hours, 2714 tests have been performed for the Sars-Cov-2 virus, of which 873 citizens tested positive.
Confirmed positive cases have been identified in the following municipalities:
364 cases in Tirana, 100 cases in Fier, 67 cases in Durrës, 57 cases in Elbasan, 45 cases in Shkodra,
32 cases in Kavaja, 25 cases in Lezha, 22 cases in Librazhd, 19 cases in Kruja and Saranda, 18 cases in Lushnje,
13 cases in Kubrin, 11 cases in Malësi e Madhe, 10 cases in Koçë, Përmet, Peqin, 9 cases in Tepelena,
7 cases in Delvinë, 6 cases in Gjirokastra, Mallakastra, 5 cases in Puka and Gramsh, 4 cases in Kukes, 2 cases in Kolonjë, 1 case each in Devoll, Has, Vlora, Berat, Pogradec, Dibër, Kuçovë.
In the last 24 hours, 537 citizens have recovered, meanwhile e total of 436 patients are hospitalized in 4 COVID hospitals, 29 of which in intensive care.
Despite the efforts of doctors, in the last 24 hours 14 citizens Sars-Cov2 positive have lost their lives in COVID hospitals, 5 of whom were from Tirana, 2 citizens in Durrës, 2 citizens in Kruja, 1 citizen from Elbasan, 1 citizen from Gjirokastra, 1 citizen from Shkodra, 1 citizen from Saranda and 1 citizen from Kuçova, all aged from 56 to 84 years.
The Ministry of Health and Social Protection expresses its condolences to the families of the deceased. The Ministry of Health and Social Protection appeals to citizens to limit contact and avoid any unnecessary outings, wear a mask and take care of personal hygiene, to limit the spread of COVID-19.
