COVID-19 update/ 832 new cases and 12 losses of life in the last 24 hours

The Albanian Ministry of Health and Social Protection informed about the situation of COVID19 in the country, saying that 2,176 tests were performed in the last 24 hours, of which 832 citizens tested positive.

Positive cases confirmed in the last 24 hours have been identified in these municipalities: 430 cases in Tirana, 100 cases in Fier, 33 cases in Durrës, 32 cases in Elbasan, 27 cases in Korça and Berat, 21 cases in Kuçova, 20 cases in Shkodra, 19 cases in Lushnje, 17 cases in Kurbin, 16 cases in Vlora, 15 cases in Mallakastër, 14 cases in Tropoja, 11 cases in Saranda, 9 cases in Pogradec, 8 cases in Mat, 6 cases in Kavaja and Gramsh, 3 cases in Kukës, Tepelena, Skrapar, 2 cases in Kruja, Lezha, Gjirokastra, Përmet, 1 case in Has, Delvinë, Dibër, Bulqizë.

In the last 24 hours, 535 citizens have recovered, while in 4 COVID hospitals a total of 506 patients are being treated, 39 of them in intensive therapy.

Despite the efforts of doctors, in the last 24 hours, 12 citizens with Sars-Cov2 positive have lost their lives in COVID hospitals, of which 5 citizens from Tirana, 2 citizens from Elbasan, 1 citizen from Durrës, 1 citizen from Vlora, 1 citizen from Berat, 1 citizen from Lushnja, 1 citizen from Peqini.

The Ministry of Health and Social Protection expresses its condolences to the families of the deceased.
