The Ministry of Health of Albania appeals to the citizens not to reduce the vigilance in respecting the rules and to avoid unnecessary movements, to help break the chain of infection and to reduce the number of those affected by the SARS-COV2 virus.
They report that in the last 24 hours (07.12.2020) 1,963 tests were performed which resulted in 695 citizens positive.
Confirmed positive cases have been identified in the following municipalities: 281 cases in Tirana, 65 in Elbasan, 59 in Fier, 51 in Lushnje, 36 in Lezha, 35 in Durrës, 32 in Gjirokastra, 23 cases in Përmet, 18 in Puka, 15 in Korça, 12 cases each in Vlora, Berat, 9 in Mat, from 6 cases in Has, Mallakastër, 5 cases each in Krujë, Kukës, Delvinë, 4 cases in Dibër, Malësi e Madhe, 3 each case in Devoll, Gramsh, Kuçovë, from 1 case in Shkodër, Tepelënë, Kolonjë .
In the last 24 hours, 563 citizens have recovered, while in 4 COVID hospitals 463 patients are being treated, 37 of whom are in intensive care.
Despite the efforts of doctors in the last 24 hours 17 citizens with Covid-19 have lost their lives, which were 5 citizens from Tirana, 2 citizens from Elbasan, 2 citizens from Përmeti, 2 citizens from Fier, 1 citizen from Shkodra, 1 citizen from Prrenjas, 1 citizen from Lushnja, 1 citizen from Gjirokastra, 1 citizen from Kavaja, 1 citizen from Shijak, aged 58-79.
The Ministry of Health and Social Protection expresses its condolences to the families of the deceased.
