The Ministry of Health and Social Protection informed today about the pandemic situation, appealing to the citizens to respect the rules to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
The authorities said that 3927 tests were performed, out of which 673 citizens tested positive for Covid-19.
Confirmed positive cases have been identified in the following municipalities: 238 cases in Tirana, 44 in Durrës, 38 in Vlora, 28 in Shkodra,
23 in Lushnje, 20 in Lezha, 19 in Mat, 18 in Berat, 17 in Saranda, 16 cases in Kurbinb and Korça, 15 cases in Elbasan, Kamza , 13 in Fier,
12 cases in Kruja, Kavaja, 11 in Kukës, 8 cases in Librazhd, Bulqiza, 7 cases in Puka, Mirditë, Gramsh, 6 in Peqin, 5 cases each Vau i Dejës, Dibër, Malësi e Madhe, Klos, Skrapar, Cerrik,
4 cases in Rrogozhina, Mallakastër, Tepelena, Shijak, Patos, 3 cases in Gjirokastra, Pogradec, Përmet, Delvinë, Vora, 2 cases in Fushë Arrëz, Konispol, and 1 case each in Has, Divjakë, Roskovec, Himara, Kuçovë.
In the last 24 hours 436 citizens have recovered, while currently 260 patients are being treated in 4 COVID hospitals, 29 of whom in intensive care.
Unfortunately, despite the efforts of doctors, 7 citizens did lost the battle with COVID19: 2 citizens from Durrës, 1 citizen from Tirana, 1 citizen from Tropoja, 1 citizen from Berat, 1 citizen from Pogradec, 1 citizen from Elbasan, aged 21-77 years old.
The Ministry of Health and Social Protection expresses its condolences to the families of the deceased.
