The Ministry of Health announced today (29.12.2020) that in the last 24 hours 2682 tests have been performed, of which 574 new cases of Covid-19 were registered.
In the last 24 hours 6 citizens have lost the battle with Covid-19, among them were 3 citizens from Tirana, 1 citizen from Elbasan and 1 citizen from Berat aged 65-88, as well as 73-year-old doctor Hiqmet Musta.
The ministry reports that 578 citizens have recovered, bringing the number of the healed to 32,700 since the beginning of the epidemic.
Authorities said the number of hospital admissions continues to be stable. Currently in 4 COVID hospitals, 286 patients are being treated, 21 of which in intensive therapy. The Ministry of Health and Social Protection addresses the citizens not to neglect any signs of the disease and to contact the family doctor for any doubt, to refer them for testing,
