The number of positive cases of Covid-19 in our country since the beginning of the epidemic was updated today to 2047.
During the last 24 hours, 328 tests were performed to suspected Covid19 affected, of which 52 positive cases were confirmed, mainly new cases in the investigation process and contacts of previously confirmed cases.
The geographical distribution of positively identified in the last 24 hours is as follows: 22 affected in Tirana, 9 in Vlora, 7 in Kruja, 5 in Kurbin, 2 in Fier and 1 case in Kamza, Kavaja, Lezha, Puka, Rrogozhina Delvinë and Tepelena.
There are currently 807 actively ill people in our country with COVID19, mainly in Tirana, Shkodra and Durres.
The Ministry of Health and Social Protection addresses all businesses and citizens, to be careful in the implementation of measures established according to security protocols, as the virus still has high transmission ability.
Despite the recoveries, there are still new hospitalizations in the infectious disease hospital where 81 patients are currently being treated, 11 of them in intensive care. The average age of the hospitalized is about 61 years old, while half of the hospitalized are from Tirana.
