The Ministry of Health and Social Protection has announced today’s (11.11.2020) figures of the pandemic, while calling on all citizens to respect the rules of hygiene, physical distancing and wearing a mask in any environment outside the home.
In the last 24 hours, 2,384 tests were performed in our country, of which 520 tests were performed for screening reasons.
507 citizens have tested positive for the SARS COV2 virus in the last 24 hours. Positive cases confirmed in the last 24 hours have been identified in these municipalities:
295 cases in Tirana, 45 in Durrës, 27 in Fier, 25 in Kruja, out of 19 cases in Elbasan, Berat, 16 in Librazhd, 12 in Vlora, 11 in Pogradec, 10 in Korça, 7 in Gjirokastra, 6 in Kavaja, from 4 cases in Devoll, Has, 3 in Saranda, 2 cases in Kukës, Përmet.
In the last 24 hours 140 citizens have recovered, bringing the number of cured to 12,493 since the beginning of the epidemic.
Currently in 3 COVID hospitals, 363 patients are being treated, 18 of whom are in intensive care.
Despite the efforts of doctors, in the last 24 hours, 11 citizens with Sars-Cov2 have lost their lives in hospitals:
A 43-year-old man from Gjirokastra, a 58-year-old man from Peqini, a 66-year-old from Pogradec, a 48-year-old from Fieri, a 68-year-old and a 78-year-old from Berat, a 53-year-old and a 78-year-old woman from Korça, a 70 year old from Elbasan, a 78 year old woman, and an 85 year old man from Tirana.
