The Health Ministry has announced that the number of people affected in Albania by the Covid-19 has reached 494, while 19 new cases and one victim have been recorded in the last 24 hours.
Deputy Health Minister Mira Rakacolli gave the details:
“In the last 24 hours, 252 people have been tested in Albania, of which 44 health personnel. From the test results, 19 positive cases were confirmed with COVID-19, of which 11 cases in Tirana, 1 case in Kruja, 1 case in Korça, 1 case in Elbasan, 5 cases in Kukës, among which 1 health personnel, bringing the total number to 494 cases.
“As can be seen from the graph, although there were 19 new cases today, the curve remains stable and the situation is under control.
“This morning, a 90-year-old patient from Fieri, who was intubated for 11 days and was suffering from diabetes, bronchial asthma and hypertension, died at the Infectious Diseases Hospital. Despite the efforts of medical staff, 25 citizens have lost the battle so far with this disease”.
