Albanian Ministry of Health appealed today (27.03.2021) to all citizens not to reduce vigilance and continue to implement the rules for the prevention of COVID19.
The health authorities added that the process of anti-COVID vaccination continues in the vaccination centers as well as in the schools for teaching staff. In the last 24 hours, 3070 coronavirus tests were performed, out of which 425 citizens tested positive.
Confirmed positive cases were identified in the following municipalities: 97 cases in Tirana, 30 cases in Shkodra, 25 cases in Fier, 24 cases in Gjirokastra, 20 cases in Kurbin, Lushnje, 17 cases in Vlora, 15 cases in Korca, Berat and lesser figures in other districts.
There are currently 320 patients being treated in hospitals, 14 of whom in intensive care. Despite the efforts of the medical staff, 12 citizens lost the battle with COVID19: 4 citizens from Tirana, 2 citizens from Elbasan, 2 citizens from Shkodra, 1 citizen from Lushnja, 1 citizen from Fieri, 1 citizen from Peqini, 1 citizen from Durrës , all ages 64- 83 years old.
The Ministry of Health and Social Protection expresses its condolences to the families of the deceased and addresses the citizens not to neglect any signs of illness, but to contact the family doctor for any doubt.
